Rant time?

with one comment

It is rant time, don’t you think.

One week away from debtmagedon. And now John Boehner thinks we can come up with something.

Republican money comes from Wall Street. Wall Street doesn’t want the United States to default on its debts. That would be bad for business.

Thus there will be no default.

The New York Times is quoting everyone as saying they won’t do a short term thing.

That pretty much means it will come down to the wire and they will do a short term thing because this insanity can’t go on if something like a default were to actually happen.

Just ask Newt. He was the last guy to shut down the government.

Look at how well his candidacy is doing.

Both sides are big on what the American people want.

I don’t know what they want. But I know people on Social Security want their checks. People with medical problems want their Medicare and Medicaid. The military people want to get paid.

I want a single payer system – socialized medicine – so everybody gets health care.

People don’t much care about Iraq or Afghanastan. Never have. Never will. We got Bin Laden. End of story.

Bring our men and women home. Stop spending on wars.

You pretty much balance the budget there, with maybe a little help from the very rich who actually should pay the same percentage as we do.

I said this was a rant? I was wrong. This is common sense.

  1. Amen, brother Keefer. My thoughts in a nutshell.
Wish I could have been at Eliot Kleinberg’s shindig. Was getting ready to go out of state next morning.
